WrestleMania 36 card

WWE is on The Road to WrestleMania 36, which means the biggest players and the most important matches are ready to take the biggest stage in expert wrestling. We understand that McIntyre will face WWE winner Brock Lesnar in one of the show’s main events after he made the request director the night after the Rumble on Raw. But there are still lots of fair results to draw heading into WrestleMania based on how people have played out in new weeks and months on whatever may be in store for the event.
WWE WrestleMania 36 playing on Sunday, April 5 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The main show will begin at 5 p.m. ET and stream live on the WWE Network, with the opening show starting the celebrations at 5 p.m. So let’s have a look now at the WrestleMania 36 events that have been approved as well as break down what else could be attached to the match card.

WWE WrestleMania 36 matches

WWE Championship — Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre: McIntyre shockingly won the Royal Rumble after having proved himself as a warning by closing Lesnar’s powerful run in the match. As McIntyre stayed looking down Lesnar while the champ cooked outside of the ring following his removal, a confrontation between the two looked almost certain. On the Jan. 25 edition of Raw, McIntyre called the shot he earned by winning the Rumble, saying he chose Lesnar for WrestleMania.

WWE WrestleMania 36 predictions

Raw Women’s Championship — Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair: Flair can call her own range for WrestleMania, should win the 2020 women’s, Royal Rumble. Popular SmackDown champ Bayley continues an opportunity, but that event doesn’t feel like it holds up as a main-event level match read Bayley’s positioning. Lynch vs. Flair, as played out as it may be, is an opportunity WWE has shown faith in. There is also a great outdoor chance Flair could ask NXT women’s champ, Rhea Ripley. It’s a good matchup, and would be an amazing choice that more cements NXT as an equal “third brand” rather than a standalone “minor group.”
Universal Championship — “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns: Reigns losing to win the Royal Rumble came as a blow to many and leaves a sort of question on if he will ask Wyatt for the title at WrestleMania. After all, McIntyre defeating Lesnar may have been just to make that event appear on its own. But Reigns vs. Wyatt feels necessary at this point, and other benefits on the SmackDown program don’t feel as safe as possible challengers to Wyatt currently.
Edge vs. Randy Orton: Edge’s return at the Royal Rumble was really unexpected, and his determination to beat Orton to the knock-on turning and killing him before “The Viper” could strike was a good moment. While Orton punishment was necessary, the level of intensity shown when he brutalized Edge the next night on Raw was disturbing in its own right, and this is continuing to be a huge event on the WrestleMania ticket.
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: A yearly custom that has meant less as the years have gone on, one man will win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and briefly carry around the trophy. But who gets that likely impact is very very up in the air.
Women’s Battle Royal: This will be the third year for the women’s fight royal behind Naomi and Carmella won the two preceding years. Just like “The Andre,” demand to see this at the launching concert.
